Why 7.8: DougScore 67 for the manual row, but the index likes it more: a usable 911 with a clutch, real miles and no GT-car allocation theatre.

Sound

The 3.0 flat-six still growls properly through the sports exhaust and the manual lets you hold it to 7,500. But two turbochargers and a particulate filter have taken most of the hard rasp the naturally aspirated 991.1 had. A good flat-six, quietened.

Rear seatsStandard

Two ISOFIX anchors on the rear seats, standard for this whole production run — the change that made 992 rear seats a no-cost delete option didn't land until the 992.2 facelift, after this car's 2024 cutoff.

Front passenger seatOptional

Standard sport seats take the front-passenger ISOFIX/airbag-switch option with no bucket-seat conflict.

The long version

The 992 Carrera S manual is the quietly correct car in a range obsessed with wings, waitlists and lap records. It is fast enough for anywhere, livable enough for everything and still gives the driver a real task. Values behave like a desirable Porsche rather than a speculative token, which keeps owners from treating every mile like vandalism. It is not as hardcore as a GT3, and that is why it gets used more honestly.
