5.4 / 10
Involvement 9.0 / 10

Why 5.4: No DougScore, but massive character: light, loud, manual, fragile and genuinely used by the brave rather than the risk-averse.

Sound

TVR designed the AJP8 itself: a flat-plane 4.5 with almost no silencing, cracking and howling to 7,000 like a sports prototype. It is capped only by a coarseness it never files off. One of the best V8 noises made by anyone.

Child seats · ISOFIX

Rear seatsNot available

The +2 rear seats were, per TVR's own design intent, meant to take children — just with no ISOFIX hardware at all, seatbelt only.

Front passenger seatNot available

No front ISOFIX, as on every 2+2 in this class — a front child seat isn't the intended use of that seat anyway.

TVR fitted zero airbags to any road car of this era — nothing to deactivate, belt-only throughout.

The long version

The Cerbera is the sort of car modern manufacturers no longer dare build: in-house engines, no real electronic safety net, small-cabin intimidation and just enough rear-seat pretense to make the madness funnier. Values have risen but not into untouchable territory, so the ownership base remains mechanically involved by necessity. It is not reliable enough to be casual, but the people who keep them alive usually drive them. That makes it a perfect Euro expansion car.
