Sound

The 6.3 V12 climbs to 9,250 rpm and hardens rather than thickens as it goes, with the electric motor filling in beneath. But there is more insulation here than in the older Ferraris, softening the very top. It sits just below the F50 and just above the Enzo.

Rear seatsNot available

There aren't any — strict two-seater.

Front passenger seatNot available

Ferrari's own parts catalog lists a dedicated 'airbag not compatible with child seat' warning label fitted to LaFerrari — the same label used on cars with no child-seat provision at all.

The long version

Ferrari vetted every buyer before the sale and still watched a chunk of the run flip within a year for seven-figure premiums — the allocation letter turned out to be the asset, not the car. What is left in long-term hands mostly sits climate-controlled between Cavallino gatherings, insured for more than most owners will ever risk on a public road. The V12-hybrid hardware is arguably the most sophisticated thing Maranello has built; the ownership data says almost nobody bought it to find out.
