Genesis GV60 Performance
Why 7.0: 429 hp normally, 483 hp and 700 Nm for ten seconds when you press the Boost button on the steering wheel, 4.0 seconds to 100 km/h. The same E-GMP hardware as the Ioniq 5 and EV6, wrapped in the quietest, best-finished cabin any of the three got, and sold to an audience that mostly did not know it existed.

Sound
e-ASD offers three synthesised tracks, one of them mimicking a petrol engine winding out. But mimicry is the problem: Genesis imitates a sound rather than composing one, and active noise cancelling suppresses everything real underneath.

Child seats · ISOFIX
Two ISOFIX positions on the outer rear seats, the outer pair being the ones the standard covers.
The rear anchors are the supported route — the manual points child seats there, and front-passenger ISOFIX is the exception rather than the rule. A belt-mounted seat up front needs the airbag off, and cars with a rear row don't always fit a deactivation switch, precisely because the rear seats exist.
Derived from production years and seating layout, not a per-car source. ISOFIX was standardised as ISO 13216 in 1997, required on new EU model types from 2011 and on all new EU cars from 2014.
The long version
Genesis had to prove a luxury brand could exist without heritage, and the GV60 is what it built to do it: 800-volt charging, a rotating crystal sphere that turns into the gear selector when the car wakes up, face recognition instead of a key, and 21-inch wheels the lesser trims do not get. The Performance is the only version worth this site's attention, and the Boost button is the reason — a genuinely silly ten-second overboost that no German competitor offers with the same lack of ceremony. It sold in small numbers, mostly to people cross-shopping a well-equipped German SUV and finding this one cheaper and better trimmed, and those buyers use it as the family car, which is where the perfectly respectable mileage comes from. There is no enthusiast scene, no flip market and no track presence at all. Depreciation has been severe for the usual 2022-EV reasons, which is currently the strongest argument for owning one.
