Why 5.8: A Ricardo six-speed manual behind a supercharged V8, an aluminum spaceframe underneath — the last Ford GT with a clutch pedal, and the ownership base to match. Values have roughly quadrupled since launch without the lawsuits and flip culture that hit the 2017 successor.

Sound

The Eaton blower sits behind your ear and whines over a 5.4 V8 running an almost open exhaust, which makes this the loudest thing in this part of the index. It is capped by 6,500 rpm and by the whine doing most of the work. Above the F-Type R.

There aren't any — strict two-seater.

Front passenger seatStandard

Owners describe real LATCH lower anchors, recessed deep in the seat crease, plus a top tether — factory seat covers even have cutouts for them.

The one American two-seater in this set that actually got full LATCH hardware from the factory — an exception, not the pattern.

The long version

Ford required buyers to already own a Ford before allocating a GT, screening for brand loyalty over flip potential, and it shows in how the car has aged: values climbed steadily from the original $150,000 sticker without the two-year no-sale clauses that defined the 2017 car. The Ricardo manual and supercharged V8 share enough hardware with contemporary Mustangs that a determined owner can service one without a factory technician, keeping a real share of the 4,038 built in regular rotation at car-club rallies instead of under a cover. Appreciation happened to owners who were driving the thing, not instead of it.
