Why 2.8: DougScore 67 and serious hardware, but limited production and seven-figure values make it more collector than track rat now.

Sound

The F140 V12 to 8,400 rpm behind a lighter exhaust and far less sound deadening than the standard 599 carried. It falls short of the very top only because it is front-engined, so the noise arrives from ahead of you rather than around your ears.

Rear seatsNot available

There aren't any — strict two-seater.

Front passenger seatNot available

The 599 GTB Fiorano manual this car shares only describes a belt-mounted child seat, permitted on the passenger side solely with the optional "passenger airbag deactivation kit" — no ISOFIX mentioned in the text.

Ferrari's parts catalog lists an 'ISOFIX surround' trim piece for this generation, but the manual's own child-seat section never mentions ISOFIX — weight the manual text over the parts listing.

The long version

The 599 GTO has the right ingredients: V12, 599XX influence, lighter body, faster gearbox and a name Ferrari does not hand out casually. That last part is also the problem. Once a Ferrari wears GTO, every mile feels like a subtraction in the eyes of the market. The car itself is far more involving than the base 599, but ownership reality pushes it toward the trophy shelf. It links the live 599 page to the harder edge without pretending collectors suddenly became track addicts.
